On Tuesday 25th January, Alastair Sawday visited the Mill Race to talk about his latest title "Go Slow England & Wales" and the Slow Food Movement while guests enjoyed a marvellous three course meal.

HOPE, the local charity which supports children whose families are affected by life threatening illness has taken a brand new unit at Alton House. Launched by Sue Trevethan in October 2009, HOPE is a local charity based at Alton House in Ross on Wye.

A £22 million plan to redevelop Chippenham Golf Club and build a home for the elderly has been given to go ahead for Freeman Care. The clubhouse in Malmesbury Road will be demolished and 75 residential units and a 61-bed care home built. Plans were approved unanimously by Wiltshire Council planning committee on 24 November 2010.
