Visitors to Freeman Homes’ newest residential development in Northleach now have the opportunity to view a stunning new show home. Located at Westcombe Place off Bassett Road on the eastern fringe of the Cotswold market town, The Alcott is an executive property of impressive proportions. With a spacious and flexible layout, no expense has been spared in the detail of the design –both internally and externally.

The development is due for completion in the spring and comprises five exclusive detached Cotswold properties overlooking the Leach Valley and countryside to the east and south of this popular town. Working with Bath architect Nash Partnership, the houses have been aesthetically designed to sit comfortably within their surroundings. The homes all feature Cotswold stone, slate roofs and timber windows that echo the region’s architecture.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the variety of the built environment,” said Edward Nash, senior partner and founder of Nash Partnership, explaining that capturing the uniqueness of the Cotswolds was something the team placed upmost importance on.

“Each property has been designed to make the most of its positioning within the development with consideration given to the relationship with adjacent houses and where sunlight falls at different times of day,” added Freeman Homes joint CEO, Luke Freeman.

Dedicated to “Building for a Better Future”, the Forest of Dean-based property developer is committed to sustainable construction. All Northleach properties have been built using a timber frame construction – the timber sourced from managed coniferous forests. Exceptionally thermal efficient, timber buildings remain warm in winter, reducing heating costs, and stay cool in summer. In addition, energy-efficient appliances have been incorporated into the properties including the installation of clean-burn technology Worcester Bosch Greenstyle woodburners, Quooker boiling water taps, and LED recessed spot lighting.

Freeman Homes celebrated the launch of its new show home with a champagne preview event which was attended by members of the Northleach community, local businesses, estate agents and Freeman Homes’ customers.

With only three properties remaining at Westcombe Place, early viewing is recommended.
