Three awards wins in three weeks

MF Freeman have recently been on a winning streak having won three prestigious awards in the space of three weeks! The family-run firm, whose divisions include Homes, Contracting, Commercial, Leisure, Forestry, Plant Hire and Retirement Living, impressed judges with their diversity, high standards and unique projects.

The first award was for The Fairways Retirement Village, under their Freeman Retirement Living division, which won Best Retirement Development in Wiltshire in the UK Property Awards. The 5* award represents a significant achievement for Freeman Retirement Living as entrants are judged against a strict set of criteria and the company was up against a number of high-profile developers in the county. The Award Winners’ logo is recognised as a symbol of excellence throughout the industry.

Secondly, MF Freeman was crowned Business of the Year at the Gloucestershire Echo & Gloucester Citizen Business Awards. To be crowned ‘Business of the Year’,  they proved to the panel of judges that they had a profitable business that has not only increased potential but has also had a positive impact on the local economy as a whole. The judges were particularly interested in their diversity and expansion into new markets, including the recent launch of their Retirement Living division which helped steer them successfully through the recession period.

Business of the year

Finally, their Freeman Homes division picked up Residential Development of the Year at the Insider’s South West Property Awards. The award was for their recently completed Almondsbury development in Bristol and was won in partnership with the project’s architect, Stride Treglown. The awards celebrated the success of a resurgent year in the property industry, with Almondsbury being commended for its unique, contemporary design and creative use of space.

Luke Freeman, MF Freeman’s Joint Managing Director, said: “We are extremely proud and excited to have won 3 awards over the last 3 weeks. To establish and continue to grow a dynamic family-run company over the last 50 years has taken a huge amount of effort and dedication so to win these awards is a fantastic achievement. Given the high number and quality of applications into all the awards makes it even more impressive for us to have won. This is fantastic recognition for the past 5 years of unbroken growth in turnover and profit in our group. With our recent acquisition of the redundant Cadbury’s factory at Keynsham we now have secured a £100 million development pipeline for the future so these awards are a great time to capitalise on this success.”
