A recent report from Savills has cited a significant growth in interest in new-build properties.

The property giants, who have over 160 years’ experience and have offices in over 60 countries around the world, published the findings in June. The report cites a 31% increase in applicants for new homes in the first quarter of this year when compared to the same period of last year. During the same period, the number of viewings for new-build homes increased by 35% year on year.  These statistics mark a significant upturn in interest in new-build homes, which may correlate to buyers having increasing volumes of information available to them about these properties.

According to the latest survey by the Home Builders Federation, new-build buyer confidence is at its highest since June 2017. While historically there has been a trend of negative perceptions about new houses, ever-increasing standards, new control processes and exacting regulatory input have ensured that the properties being built today are of excellent quality.

Homebuyers are more aware of their options than ever before, and developers are rising to meet the challenge. Purchasers are able to access comprehensive and detailed information about new-build properties from early on in the build process, and customisation programmes like the Freeman Homes 'Freeman Choice' range reduces the hassle of decorating whilst still allowing buyers to put their own stamp on their new home.

Having enjoyed a record start to the year, Freeman Homes is looking forward to building on this success as we head into the second quarter of 2019. Our dedication to continuous improvement means that we are refining our processes, products and services to ensure that we are delivering the aspirational, high-quality new homes that are our hallmark.
